I think that this scenario can be prevented if the person doing the skim 
consults whatever records exists (or asks the responsible parties) 
whether or not 50000 and 50001 were analyzed under the same conditions. 
If this information turns out to be unknowable, then I fear for our 
entire enterprise. ;-)
