[Halld-offline] CCDB & magnetic field in hdgeant

Hi Paul,

  Yes, hdgeant accesses the CCDB using the same API that all DANA programs do. You select this via the JANA_CALIB_URL environment variable. The magnetic field map is now done as a JANA resource. This means that the JANA_RESOURCE_DIR environment variable points to a directory that has the file:

Magnets/Solenoid/solenoid_1350_poisson_20130925

in it. The file name and (relative) directory location are obtained from the CCDB. If the file does not currently exist, then the URL (also obtained from CCDB) is used to download the file using CURL. This way, you can pre-load the resource file(s) if you want and web-access is then not required. Let me know if this doesn’t answer your question.
