My copy was done without even logging onto an ifarm machine.  I did nothing but copy files at an opportune time in the normal course of Hall D data processing.

OK - thanks - that answers my questions.

I think the rough summary:

- ~< 100 MB/s may be attainable offsite without significant impact
- copying tens of TB of data that are resident on disk is OK and has little/no impact on JLab resources
- use of university resources should be explored in future planning (probably once we better understand both capabilities and needs now that we have some data in hand)
