Hi All,
I’ve committed a new utility for reducing a CCDB sqlite file to a minimal size based
on a run range, variation, and date/time. The intent is to make a more compact
version that can be included in a container without significantly increasing its
size. If used to produce a sqlite file for the default variation in the 30000-39999
run range, it results in an 18MB sqlite file (compared to a 373MB starting file).
Much of the reduction is in dropping old magnetic field and material maps that are
not used by modern sim-recon.
The tool was added to the hd_utils repository. You can see it directly here:
https://github.com/JeffersonLab/hd_utilities/blob/master/CCDButils/ccdb_reduce.py
There are some known limitations (see comments at top of script).
Let me know if you have any issues.
Regards,
-David
