[Halld-offline] Fwd: excessive /work

Folks,
My current understanding is that collectively among the Halls, we are
using more work space than fits on the new work server. For Hall D, that
means we should go from 80 TB down to 44 TB (if memory serves). I don't
know if we ever did a serious clean-up of work. Since nothing is ever
deleted there, I am optimistic that we can reduce the size a lot via
deletion and backup to tape.
Consider this a heads-up. Take a look at what you are using and think
about if you need the files live on disk. A list of "big usage" in
various categories is at
https://halldweb.jlab.org/disk_management/work_report.html . I will also
forward a message from Sandy with information on how to explore how the
disk is being used.
