Mark,

I completed reconfiguration of hallddb to increase the number of allowed
open files/connections to 4096. This required a restart of the mariadb
service. Overall, the service was offline for less than a minute.

Sorry, but I didn't notice that you had advertised the time as between 7 and
8 until I was writing this email. I actually did the work a little after
4:00 am. I hope that didn't cause any upset.

Forgot to tell you what the outage is for: the maximum number of file
descriptors for the server will be increased from 1024 to 4096. We have run
into this limit lately.
