Hi All,
Below is a snapshot of the current farm usage for the last week showing the currently running high level Hall and EIC projects, and particularly that the change is effective in giving CLAS12 the lion's share of Hall B's increase to 30%.
It shows the past 7 days (today is FSInterval 0, Friday is 3, through last Tuesday 6; each past day (FSInterval) decays (Decay Rate) from the 100% overall fairshare value at 0.70 FSWeight).
So over the past week of running...
Hall A is at just over 9%, reduced from 10 to 5%
Hall B is at ~ 0.74 + 2.93 + 27.48 ~= 31%, increased from 20 to 30%
Hall C is barely running, at now 5 from 10%
Hall D is at 59 of their 60% share.
Pretty close! Keep the queues full to guarantee your project's fair share.
Regards,
Sandy

Hi Graham,
I have updated the fair share allocations in the scheduler, and corresponding documentation at https://scicomp.jlab.org/docs/node/70. I left Other at 10%, used primarily by EIC lately, for bursty projects that come and go outside of the experimental physics hall allocations.
Regards,
Sandy

Further to what was discussed this morning: To give hall-B better access to the resources needed for their commissioning and physics running we will increase the allocation given to hall-B.
The new allocation will be :
A = 5%
B = 30%
C = 5%
D = 60%
This is a slight modification to what was discussed this morning since C is cut to 5% instead of 2%. Hall-C is not using anywhere near 5% of the farm so the unused resources will be available to the other halls as needed. Also, due to the bursty nature of the load on the farm any of the halls could have access to more than these percentages if the farm is not 100% busy.
Regards,
Graham
