      IT Maintenance Period, Tuesday, June 18

The IT division is planning a maintenance period on Tuesday, June 18, 
from 5-10 p.m. During this planned outage, IT will release Windows and 
Linux patches to all desktop and server systems. They will also release 
updates to all core Common User Experience software, such as Acrobat 
Reader. All conference rooms will be updated with the latest Bluejeans 
application. The Linux default Mathematica version will be updated to 
11.1 (instead of 10.2). There will be short Wi-Fi outages in CEBAF 
Center while Wi-Fi access points are updated. Additionally, IT will 
reboot CUE managed server systems overnight. Expect short outages of 
systems and services while they are rebooted. All reboots should end 
with services back online Wednesday, June 19 by 7 a.m. Finally, please 
plan on rebooting your Windows or Linux desktop system on Friday, June 
21 by 5 p.m. Contact the IT Division Help Desk at x7155 for questions.
