IT Maintenance
MAINTENANCE PERIOD - OCT. 15
The Information Technology Division is planning a maintenance period on
Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 5-10 p.m. During this time, there will be brief,
intermittent outages to various JLab networks while configurations are
updated. There will be outages of various wikis and other servers while the
back-end database is migrated to a new server. All wikis will be back
online no later than 7 p.m. IT will also release Windows and Linux patches
to all Common User Experience-managed desktops and servers. There will be
brief, overnight outages of Common Network Interface services, including
login and web servers, while servers are rebooted to finalize patch
installation. Finally, plan to reboot your Windows or Linux desktop system
no later than close of business on Friday, Oct. 18, to finalize patch
installation. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the IT
Division Help Desk at x7155.
