[Halld-offline] reminder: IT Maintenance, Tue Jan 21, 2020 5pm - 10pm

The Information Technology (IT) Division has scheduled a maintenance 
period on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 5-10 p.m. During this maintenance, the 
IT Division will update the current JLABTS terminal servers to Windows 
Server 2019. There will be short network outages to the Test Lab Annex 
and the Support Services Center (SSC) buildings while network switches 
are updated. There will also be intermittent wireless outages in the 
Test Lab and the Technology & Engineering Development Bldg. (TED) while 
new wireless access points are replaced.

Core Common User Environment (CUE) software, such as Thunderbird and 
Firefox will also be updated.

Finally, IT will release updates to all Windows and Linux desktop and 
servers. Reboots of Windows and Linux servers are scheduled overnight to 
ensure that patch installation is finalized. Please plan on rebooting 
your CUE-managed Windows or Linux desktop by Friday, Jan. 24, order to 
finalize patch installation. If you have any questions or concerns
