Hi all,
As noted at last week's amplitude analysis meeting, I have made an updated release of AmpTools: v0.11.0
It is available on GitHub here: https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__github.com_mashephe_AmpTools_releases_tag_v0.11.0&d=DwIFAg&c=CJqEzB1piLOyyvZjb8YUQw&r=Te_hCR4EUlJ6iCDYLJ8Viv2aDOR7D9ZZMoBAvf2H0M4&m=S9zLOpDYNKVOu8evseGQCkummE57Hlx2-DIfcqCzgk0&s=OocmW3ccr2nJhcEua9CN88z1_cwtlc4FaklwU6A2gBU&e=
I have also added to this release a User Guide, which is a work in progress. The 20 pages of text there already describes the formulation of the likelihood and provides documentation about the configuration file. I will continue developing this to describe other features as time permits. The "Daltiz" tutorial in the Tutorials directory continues to be one of the best self contained examples of a use case. We have tried to keep updating this -- it will even run in parallel via MPI and on the GPU platform.
Note that v0.11.0 changes the treatment of weights in a background file (key word: bkgnd) if it is provided to the fit. This is necessary to enable proper multi-dimensional sideband subtraction, but is a change in behavior. The code will try to detect potential errors and print appropriate messages.
Please go ahead and use this release, and let me know if you see any problems.
Mark Ito: could you add this in to the standard GlueX production software package?
Thanks,
Matt
