Folks,

We are yet again close to filling up /work/halld.

$ df -h /work/halld
Filesystem                       Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
scifs17exp-eth:/expphyvol/halld  210T  207T  2.8T  99% /w/halld-scifs17exp

This time we are getting squeezed both by the mysterious quota
fluctuations and a burst of new disk usage. The six-month history can be
seen here <https://halldweb.jlab.org/disk_management/work_disk_2.png>.

Again:

  * If you have files that you do not need right away please archive
them to tape. I can help you with that.
  * If there are files that you probably do not need, but are not sure
about, you should consider /volatile/halld as temporary storage
while you figure that out. Currently, files written there last for
    months before auto-deletion.
  * If there are files that you certainly do not need, please delete
them. Please be certain here. There is no backup on the work disk.
  * There is almost 30 TB free on /work/halld3.
  * There is a relatively recent report of our usage here
    <https://halldweb.jlab.org/disk_management/work_report.html>. Power
users should check this page for deletion/archive candidates.
  * More work disk is coming, though probably not for many weeks.
