*CST DIVISION MAINTENANCE - OCT. 19*
On Tuesday, Oct. 19 from 5-10 p.m., the CST Division has a planned
maintenance period. During this time, the following activities will be
performed.

   - There will be updates to the central fileserver that hosts the sgroup
   (M:) and group (O:) areas. This work should be transparent, and no outage
   is expected.
   - The wireless authentication certificate for the 'jlab' and 'eduroam'
   wireless networks will be updated. Most devices will accept the new
   certificate automatically. However, some devices may prompt you to accept
   the certificate manually. If so, verify that the certificate you are
   accepting is named "jlab-networking.jlab.org

   - Windows and Linux patches will be released. Plan to reboot your
   Windows or Linux desktop no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22.
   - There may be brief network outages while network devices are updated.
   Plan accordingly.
   - There are plans to do some work with the mail servers that provide
   external email. This work may cause a slight delay in receiving email from
   external sources, but all legitimate email will still be delivered.
