Dear Colleagues,

We received 50k Node hours at NERSC for the offsite REST production in 
allocation year (AY) 2026. This is significantly less than we asked for, 
but should still be nearly enough to reconstruct the 2025 data set. If 
we use it all by summer, we can even apply for more.

I assume, the reduction is in part a result of our usage in AY2025. So 
far, we have only used 86kh out of our original award of 200kh. Thanks 
to Igal, Chris Larrieu and the JANA2 team, we managed to optimize the 
parameters of our production workflows at the beginning of the year. As 
a direct result, we were charged far less hours than originally planned 
for successfully reconstructing the full 2023 and 2017 GlueX data sets 
during this period. We even processed a fraction of the 2025 data 
already, and will do so again with improved calibrations before the end 
of AY2025 (01/20/26).
