<div dir="ltr">Dear all,
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I have just completed the merge of our sim-recon-rj-pm
development branch into the main trunk. I know Paul has not
completed everything he wanted to do in developing the new
code to handle the variable simulation t0, but I was having
too much trouble keeping up with all of the merges from the
trunk, so I had to jump back in.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I had gotten to the point where every other update from the
trunk resulted in a conflict. I guess everyone knew this was
coming, and so it is not a surprise.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I have done the following to verify that basic things
should still work in the trunk.</div>
<div>
<ol>
<li>make sure that a scons install completes without errors.</li>
<li>make sure that bggen -> hdgeant -> mcsmear ->
danarest completes</li>
<li>make sure that bggen -> hdgeant -> mcsmear ->
rawevent completes</li>
<li>check with hd_dump that the results of steps 2 and 3 are
consistent at the reconstruction level, and the number of
high-level reconstructed objects, eg. tracks and clusters,
looks reasonable and consistent.</li>
</ol>
<div>
Actually this may be the first time anyone has seen #4
complete successfully, because there were numerous problems
in the evio encoding/decoding, esp. for the drift chambers,
that existed in the trunk and I had to find and fix the bugs
to make things work in my branch. Now these fixes should be
imported into the trunk.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>That much is known to work. Still, there may be problems.
Please post notices of whatever surprises you find to this
list.</div>
