In principle, we only need one of these, since each file
contains the current as well as all past versions of constants.
Note that we keep several backups already, albeit in a
non-web-accessible location. See the _first_ list of files in
the message.<br>

I plan to delete the extraneous versions in the web directory
sometime this week. Let me know if you have objections.<br>
