<div dir="ltr">Hello,<div><br></div><div>I have diagnosed and fixed a bug in the XString class that is used for parsing the hdds geometry. It mainly pertains to users of hdgeant and hdgeant4. I came across this bug trying to build our simulation with a more recent version of the compiler, and it segfaulted. I am not sure why it never showed this behavior before, maybe the way the compiler implements it has changed? Anyway, this fix needs to be applied to the master branch and people's simulation codes updated before doing any further development work on the sims. The PR for this fix to the master branch is pending on JeffersonLab/hdds, together with another fix to the flat-files geometry. If someone could act on those, it would be great.</div><div><br></div><div>-Richard Jones</div></div>
