<p>Folks,</p>
<p>We have a new version set, <a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://halldweb.jlab.org/halld_versions/version_4.45.0.xml">4.45.0</a>,
that incorporates the following two new releases:</p>
<ul>
<li><a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://github.com/JeffersonLab/Diracxx/releases/tag/2.0.0">Diracxx
2.0.0</a></li>
<li><a moz-do-not-send="true" href="https://github.com/JeffersonLab/HDGeant4/releases/tag/2.28.0">HDGeant4
2.28.0</a></li>
</ul>
<p>The main change here is the build method for Diracxx. It now uses
cmake. Recall the email message from Richard Jones on this.
Functionality should not change (much?).</p>
<p>There is a technical difference in this version set: it uses a
new build of ROOT 6.08.06, the version of ROOT we have been using
for years. The build procedure for ROOT has changed because of
developments unrelated to the packages listed above (build of the
ROOT-supplied tbb library is requested). Also the package list in
the latest version of our CentOS7 singularity container has
changed (the tbb library has been dropped). It turns out that now
is good time go to a re-built ROOT on all platforms. It is the
same version of ROOT as before so functionality should not change.</p>
<p>At JLab this version set has been built on RHEL7, RHEL8, Centos7,
and CentOS7-cntr. It will become the default at JLab at midnight
tonight.</p>
