    <p>Folks,</p>

    <p>I put together a new version set, <a moz-do-not-send="true"

        href="https://halldweb.jlab.org/halld_versions/version_5.2.1.xml">5.2.1</a>,

      that will build on RedHat 8. It should also build on CentOS 8. It

      has a small change to halld_recon, relative to <a

        moz-do-not-send="true"

        href="https://halldweb.jlab.org/halld_versions/version_5.2.0.xml">5.2.0</a>,

      that allows building on these platforms, unlike 5.2.0.

      Functionally, the two version sets are identical.</p>

    <p>At JLab 5.2.1 has only been built on RHEL8. Version set 5.2.0

      remains the default version set on all platforms. (And yes, the

      default will not work on RHEL8 right now, but 5.2.1 will; we don't

      have a platform-by-platform default version set scheme).</p>
