<p>We identified two serious bugs in the halld_recon tag 5.1.0,
which were fixed in 5.1.1:</p>
<ul>
<li>PR #921: Wrong use of GetSingle() causing crashes in
DEventWriterROOT</li>
<li>PR #911: Program crashing with multiple evio input files</li>
</ul>
<p>We updated it in the version set 6.1.1, all other packages remain
the same as in 6.1.0. The new version set will be come the default
at JLab tonight.</p>
<p>Thanks to Raiqa and Sean for fixing the bugs.</p>

Colleagues,

We just built the new version set version_6.1.0.xml. It includes
major changes to halld_recon such as performance optimization and
fixes intended for the 2023 REST production. The packages
halld_sim, gluex_root_analysis, hdgeant4 and hd_utilities also
underwent minor improvements.

The version set was built on AlmaLinux9 and RHEL9 as well as the
AlmaLinux9 container. It will become the default version set
before midnight tonight.

Best regards,
