   FYI,

     Representatives from Emerson Network Power and Arrow computing will 
be here on Tuesday March 30th at 1:30PM (Cebaf Center F326) to give a 
presentation on current products and their roadmap.
     For those of you who might not recognize, Emerson is the vendor 
that bought out Motorola Embedded (ie VME CPUs that most of us 
currently are using in experiments/accel controls etc...). They also are 
releasing, this quarter, a line of Intel (Core i7) VME CPUs we are 
considering for use in the 12GeV upgrade.

   Plese feel free to pass this mail along to anyone that might be 
interested...
