[Halld-online] update of gluon machines in counting house

Hi all,

I have done a little maintenance on the counting house computers
gluon02-gluon05. These include installing software needed to build
sim-recon and setting up gluon02 as a NFS server that be used for home
directories.

I have installed the following packages so that we can compile sim-recon
on those machines:

bxip2-devel
mysql-devel
libX11-devel
openmotif-devel
vnc-server

These will be added to the /group/halld-online/installed-software file
as soon as I get write permission to it.
Please note that openmotif-devel would not install on gluon03 for some
reason and I have asked experts to look into it.

I have successfully built sim-recon now on gluon02 and run hdgeant,
mscmear, and hd_root.

In addition I have turned on the NFS server on gluon02 to serve up the
directory /group/gluoncfs . This is now mounted by the other 3 gluon
machines using the same directory name. This functionality will be
replaced once the dedicated file server we just ordered arrives and is
installed. In the interim, this allows anyone who wants to, to use a
central location for their home directory on the gluon cluster. I have
documented details on how this was done on the following wiki page:

https://halldweb1.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/HOWTO_setup_NFS_for_the_online_computers

I have set up my own home directory now using the recipe on the wiki
page, but not anyone else's. Feel free to either do that yourself, or
ask me to do it.

Regards,
-David
