[Halld-online] gluondb1, gluondb2 maintenance Aug. 11th

Hi All,

  Marty would like to do some maintenance on the gluondb1 and gluondb2 servers in our
counting house. An excerpt from his e-mail is below. These servers are used to host our
RCDB and CCDB in the counting house. This may mean that runs started during this 1
hour period won’t have entries in the RCDB. Running analysis software that requires the
CCDB will also not function unless you set your environment variable to point to another
location. e.g.
setenv JANA_CALIB_URL mysql://ccdb_user@hallddb.jlab.org/ccdb
setenv CCDB_CONNECTION mysql://ccdb_user@hallddb.jlab.org/ccdb

I would like to schedule this for first thing Tuesday morning, Aug. 11th.  Please let me
know if this will not work for some reason. Marty’s e-mail follows:

"Note that I would like an opportunity to do some
reconfiguration/maintenance on gluondb1/2 . Among other things, I will
configure them so that old logs will be purged automatically. T protect
against losing needed data, I will also configure our monitoring system
with a script I wrote that monitors the slaves and alerts if they fall
behind. That way, we can safely automatically remove binary logs older
than day or so.

Let me know if there's a chance to do this work in the near future. I'll
need to have the systems offline for an hour or so to get it done.
