[Halld-online] RHEL7 Upgrade

Hi All,

  As has been discussed at several meetings, there is a plan to upgrade the OS of the counting
house computers to RHEL7. There was some hope to do this prior to the next commissioning run.
However, given the shorter time scale than we originally thought and after discussing this with Hovanes,
we have decided to defer the upgrade until after the Spring commissioning run.

  One computer has been upgraded already (gluon01) and should be used in the interim for testing
software. We will want to compile a list of any additional software that needs to be installed so
that it can be added to the base installation on all counting house computers once we do
go forward with the full upgrade.
