Hi,

JLAB networking group needs to upgrade some of their equipment
        that will affect our
Hall D development network. This is the network (129.57.194.*)
        that we use for development
with equipment that is located outside of the Hall D complex but
still is within "Hall D internal network".
The update will result in loss of connection at least for a
short time, and we may need to restart our
equipment to reestablish the connection.
Let me know if there are NOT ACCEPTABLE for you dates/times for
a few minute outage this week.
Please reply sometime today, and I will Carl know when to do it
        based on replies I get.
Thanks,
Hovanes.

Hi Hovanes,

We are decommissioning one of our older routers, which happens to route the hall D dev network (194 subnet). I need to move the routing and firewalling for this network to new equipment at some point. The move will cause all connections in and out of the network to die, but the total outage should be less then 15 seconds. When would be a good time to make this change?

Thank you,

Carl Bolitho
