Dear participants,
I'm writing this message to everyone both to save time, but also because
several comments may be useful throughout.
Everyone: At the moment format is non-uniform, but I think everyone
should include "and the GlueX Collaboration" in the author list.
- Tegan, Mahmoud, Will : Try to coordinate abstracts to have specific
emphasis, as topics seem to overlap
Naomi Jarvis
- No mention is made of "production running", only commissioning. It
might be useful to include our estimated integrated luminosity. (For the
pi0/eta asymmetry paper we gave an integrated luminosity of 1 pb-1 in
the coherent peak range). It would be useful to have a comparable total
for 2016/2017 data set).
Tegan Beattie
-"richest unflavoured light mesons". Richest in what sense?
- study of resonances should specifically mention meson resonances, as
much of the eta/eta' studies to date have focused on baryon resonances
decaying to nucleon eta, etc.
- You may wish to move the motivating phrase about "possibly accessible
exotic and hybrid resonances which GlueX aims to study first, then talk
about the eta/eta' decay channel.
Ahmed Foda
- How are the b1(1235) and b2(1650) related? (Same branch modes?) What
is the b2? Is it predicted by lattice?
- Why is the -t dependence important in this context?
Mahmoud Kamel
- Instead of just Spring 2017 data, you might indicate how much
luminosity that corresponds to
- Will you present data on two different decay modes?
- What range of energy will you use for cross sections? 5-11 GeV?
Coherent peak 8.4-9?
Jon Zarling
- General: Intro is too long.
- The statement "pseudoscalar asymmetries.... can successfully be
explained by quasi-particle t-channel exchange using Regge theory."
seems a bit strong.
- asymmetries -> beam asymmetries
- For a 10 min talk you have many topics (three channels). Do you want
to emphasize one over others?
Will McGinley
- Do you plan to look at asymmetries with decay modes other than gg?
Luke Robison
- Second sentence beginning with "This provides the opportunity...." You
might want to be more specific with something like "We present the first
measurements in 40 years of J/Psi production at threshold 8.2 to 11.5
GeV ..."
Cristiano Fanelli

Yunjie Yang
- What PID specifically are you interested in? proton/pi, pi/K,
reconstruction of strange final states?
Shuang Han
- No abstract
Alex Barnes
- Are you going to draw any conclusions from your analysis regarding the
calibration, acceptance and sensitivity to mesons with strange quark
content? Or reword the sentence to say that this first (preliminary?)
analysis is sensitive to high level calibrations and detector acceptance?
Hao Li
