Hi all,

I was asked to present recent GlueX results at the „Exotic Hadron Spectroscopy“ workshop in York, UK, at the end of this year. It is a small workshop organised between the UK nuclear and particle physics communities (mainly Glasgow and York) that is running since 2016. Below you find the abstract I plan to submit. The organisers asked me to do this asap so if you have feedback please send it until tonight so I can submit tomorrow.

Cheers,
Peter

The GlueX Experiment is located at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (JLab), VA, USA. Its solenoidal spectrometer provides excellent tracking and calorimetry capabilities with almost complete angular coverage. It utilises a tagged 9 GeV linearly polarised photon beam incident on a liquid hydrogen target. This unique setup makes it a prime facility to search for light exotics decaying into a variety of final states.
GlueX recently finished its first phase of data taking and published its first results. Many different analyses are currently under way with the ultimate goal of mapping the spectrum of light hybrid mesons.
This talk will present the GlueX experiment and discuss recent results.
