A "couple years" is indeed either too vague or too specific. I would suggest to

"...will collect data with the GlueX apparatus and an upgraded Forward Calorimeter (FCAL-II, under construction), which consists of a 1 m2 PbWO4 crystal insert in the central region of the existing FCAL."

It would imply that it will happen after the end of construction. You may discuss the schedule in the presentation.

Is there a suggestion to say something different in "will start to collect data in a
couple of years"? Maybe you could refer to another milestone, after which the experiment can take place?
