[Halld-pid-upgrade] timing spectra with the broken bar

Hi all,

please have a look at my study about whether a timing spectrum would give an idea about damage of the radiators:

https://gluexdirc.mit.edu/light-test

Conclusions is short:

  *   light spectra agrees with John's results<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/File:PreliminaryBarTiming.pdf>
  * the effect is small: a completely broken joint is assumed, it gives an extra signal of about ~ 9 -18 %
  * the effect is larger, when the light enters at an angle with respect to the radiator axis (maximal angle is about 30 degrees)
  * light source and photosensor should be fast enough to deal with light pulses ~ 10 ns (difference between neighbouring signals)
  * I'm not sure about the noise level, so I did not account for it.

Looking forward to your feedback.

Best regards,
Maria
