[Halld-pid] Hamamatsu timing resolution

Hi All,
looking at the reference PMT more closely I realized that it is actually
an XP2020 with a VD124/K/T base from the manufacturer and not an
XP2262. The base is a specific design with an active circuit for the last
3 dynodes to improve high rate/current stability.
I attached a file showing the results of both PMTs the Hamamatsu
H10534 and the XP2020. Both give very similar results. So the limiting
factor is my setup with the LED pulser.
Knowing that the XP2020 is a very good/fast PMT and the Hamamatsu
H10534 shows similar behavior I conclude at this point that the PMT
is a reasonable choice for the TOF detector. I will however try to find
a faster LED pulser to find the true limit of the PMT.

cheers,
Beni
