Folks,
I spoke to Youri today about a couple of items from our last meeting.
1. Need for outer foam
He said the outer foam was mainly to protect the scintillator bars. He
did not feel it was necessary for mechanical support.
2. Inner foam construction
The inner foam layer was made from seven pieces, one for the nose and
six for the sides. They were glued together. The outer surface, where
the scintillators are supported, was machined, one sector at a time.
(This is not what I had in my notes from a previous conversation.)
