  GlueX Start Counter Meeting, January 28, 2016, Minutes

Present:

      Announcements

Run Planning meetings will be held daily starting on Monday. They will 
be at 8:45 am in the Counting House.

Mahmoud will give a start counter talk on Friday afternoon. He will be 
at JLab.


      Calibration Update

Mahmoud is working on the attenuation algorithm to get ready for the 
upcoming run.


      Run Readiness

Eric went through the Hot Check-Out procedure both before and after the 
target cart was inserted into the detector. This includes taking data 
with the cosmic self-trigger and looking at monitoring histograms from 
the resulting data. All channels checked out fine both times. Mark moved 
the start counter in the detector category to "ready" in the system.


      NIM Paper / TDR contribution

When Eric is done with final thesis edits he will turn to condensing the 
relevant chapters in to a detector paper. He also would like to revise 
the current section of the TDR on the start counter based on his thesis 
material.
