    GlueX TOF Meeting, October 4, 2016, Minutes

Present:

    TOF HV scan Fall 2016

Beni presented his plan.


      Prerequisites

  * a) base line adjusted to 100 ADC counts
  * b) all discriminator thresholds at about 10 mV above base line
  * c) readout window optimized for ADC with first pulse at least 10
    samples after window start, window width 160ns (40 samples)
  * d) NSA 25 samples
  * e) NSB 3 samples
  * f) CAEN tdc readout window 200ns and timing peak in center.


      Data Taking List

 1. set all HV to NOMINAL=1200V (>25 M triggers, ~25 files)
 2. set all HV -25V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 3. set all HV +25V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 4. set all HV -50V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 5. set all HV +50V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 6. set all HV -75V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 7. set all HV -100V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)
 8. set all HV -125V of NOMINAL (>25 M triggers)

We thought that we should add a few voltage settigs above NOMINAL in 
addition to those listed above.


      Review of minutes from the previous meeting

We looked at the minutes from September 20

Mark will arrange a meeting with Vladimir Popov next week to discuss PMT 
bases with amplification.
