Review of minutes from the December 5 meeting
We went over the minutes from last time
<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/GlueX_TOF_Meeting,_December_5,_2018#Minutes>.
See the sections below for the discussion.
Calibration Status
Since last time Ashley has calibrated the last handful of runs for Fall
2018. She also resolved the Beni-script-ambiguity issue mentioned last
time. She urged Beni to commit the new "four file" version of the
scripts to the GitHub repository.
Lucite Shield Geometry
After the last meeting Ashley consulted with Thomas on a simulation
configuration. She will run with a single-particle gun event generator
using geantinos. Beam background will be turned on and the simulation
run with and without the Lucite shield. Rates will be compared. Thomas
had to supply one small tweak to MCwrapper to control the beam current
setting.
Upgrade Plan
We looked at Paul's presentation
<https://halldweb.jlab.org/talks/2018/TOF-Mod-Nov2018.pdf> which came in
too late to view at the last meeting. He presents an variation on Option
2 (no new electronic channels) and fleshes out Option 3 (8 more
electronic channels). Both come with corresponding cost estimates.
