[Halld-pid] [EXTERNAL] notes on PID studies

Hi all,

Since more people have been adding PID study results, I looked through
the available studies and made some notes of places where we could
either improve data/MC matching or loosen the cuts that are being
used:

I think the main conclusion I have so far is that we may need some
momentum dependence on the TOF selections, or at least understand the
resolution at low momentum better (particularly for protons so far).

I know there are other people looking into adding to these results, so
it will be good to have some final states which give us complementary
information.
