[Halld-pid] [EXTERNAL] PID matching suggestions based on data/MC comparisons

Hi all,

Mark Ito asked me to make a summary of the data/MC matching issues
that showed up from the ongoing PID studies, for the HDGeant4 meeting.
Of course this is an issue for the PID meeting as well. Since we
didn't have either meeting this week, I'm sending out the slides for
people to consider offline:

https://halldweb.jlab.org/doc-private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=4652

The short version is that there seems to be some room for better
data/MC matching for the timing in the calorimeter - there are some
TOF issues as well - but in both cases more studies are needed to
isolate the contributions from the detectors themselves (the TOF in
particular has strong contributions from the tracking).

There's also some room for loosening the standard skim PID cuts to
improve the agreement of their efficiency between data and MC.

Cheers,
Sean
