    GlueX TOF Meeting, August 25, 2021, Minutes

Present: Edmundo Barriga, Eugene Chudakov, Paul Eugenio, Mark Ito 
(chair), Beni Zihlmann

      Review of minutes from the last meeting

We went over the minutes of the meeting on August 11 
<https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/GlueX_TOF_Meeting,_August_11,_2021#Minutes>. 


Paul reported that FSU has a VXS crate on order, due to arrive this 
month. After that they can return the VXS crate on load from the Lab. 
After that the only remaining items on the loan with be the PMTs.


      Run Readiness

Mark reported that five FADC-250s were replaced for the TOF. Beni has 
succeeded in setting baselines <https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3896753> 
on all channels of all five via an automatic procedure. Recall that this 
was not possible with four of the pre-replace FADCs. The fifth was 
replaced because it had a problem accepting a firmware download.

Beni has done further investigation on the timing tails 
<https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3896748> in the RF signal in one of the 
CAEN TDCs. Suspicion has now moved to the jitter attenuation box. The 
investigation continues.


      TOF NIM Paper

In the next week or so Paul Eugenio intends to start pushing us toward 
completion of the NIM paper. You have been warned.


      Actions Items

 1. Schedule time for testing the TOF II trigger.
 2. Do the HV scan and analyze the results.
 3. Get going on the NIM paper again.
