[Halld-tagger] email on danarest plugin crash

Nathan, David and all,

I did see Nathan's email raising this issue last week.  I have a big deadline (teaching stuff) due tonight, which I hope to finish before midnight.  After that, this problem is next in my queue. Sorry for the delay.  We are doing two faculty searches right now, our readiness review is this week, you can imagine...
