[Halld-tagger] Fwd: Fast feedback status and possible beam time

Hello Dave,

In addition to the 3 beam-related goals for the coming 2-week run period, I
would like to add the following request from Trent Allison related to
commissioning of the fast-feedback system. These tests will require
exclusive control over the beam, but they only take 2-hour blocks at a time
so they should be easy to schedule. The fast feedback is not a prior
requirement for any of the other 3 things I listed, but should be added as
a 4th request to our list.

Hey Alex,

We are making progress. I'm ready to exercise the magnets and verify we
are getting data into the chassis from the BPMs and Active Collimator via
fiber. Brian and I still need to get the interface and details of the
actual control loop software/firmware ironed out but I plan on having
something to try before beam is gone for the summer shutdown. We could
probably use a couple 2 hour blocks of beam to test out the magnets and
BPM/AC response. After that we will need at least a couple more 2 hour
blocks to try calibrating and turning on FFB. We will probably need more
but that's all I have for now. We will look parasitically at some stuff
while other commissioning is going on but during our 2 hour blocks we will
probably be kicking the beam around so no other tests in unison, unless
they don't care about position stability.

Thanks,
Trent
