Hello Eugene and all,

This is the response that I received from Thomas Oebler, Element Six. It
seems that they have 3 pieces 1.35mm thick (will make 3 samples each) that
are somewhat larger than the ones we currently have, 8x8 instead of 7x7. I
recommend that we get these at the discount price he offers, even if we
also want to purchase some higher priced material elsewhere and work with
both in parallel.

Whereas we have started making more large area single crystal, material is
still in processing and will take longer than expected to get completed.
However, to move forward, I have parts available at current I would like to
offer:

The parts I have are 8x8x1.35mm in size. Such size would usually sell from
E6 at US$ 4,700.00 each, however to get you going I would offer them at
$4,320.00 (a 8% discount). There are three parts available immediately.

Dear Thomas,

Back around 2015, you provided to us 10 large-area (7mm x 7mm) CVD diamond
(SC-plate type) single crystals. We have now consumed all of our inventory
of these, and would like to order a new batch. When I looked at your online
catalog, the largest size of these SC-plate type single-crystals is 4.5 x
4.5 mm^2. Would you be able to produce some of these in the rough
dimensions 7mm x 7mm for us? Depending on the availability and price, we
are looking to purchase 8-15 of them. The thickness of the plates we
received from you last time was 1.2 mm, which would suit us just fine,
although our requirement on the thickness is flexible. We use these plates
as targets in a high-energy scattering experiment at Thomas Jefferson
National Accelerator Facility, which is funded by the US Dept. of Energy.
