Dear GlueX Collaborators,

On a last minute whim the other day I decided to submit an abstract
on GlueX data rates to the APS meeting in Washington in Feb. Being last
minute, I did not have time to circulate it first. I apologize for the
breech of protocol and for taking so long to get it out posteriori. I
submitted this under my and Mark Ito's names as representing the GlueX
collaboration. (I gave Mark about 2 minutes' warning). I have copied the
abstract below for your review. If there are any issues with this, I
will be happy to withdraw the abstract. My motivation was (and is) to
promote GlueX wherever an opportunity presents itself.

Title: GlueX Data Rates

The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Lab is scheduled to start data
taking in 2015. At high luminosity, it will acquire data at 3GB/s
and record to disk at 300MB/s, comparable to or greater than LHC
experiments. Much of the data will be generated in flash ADCs and
compressed online. Current plans on how the system will work and
be monitored will be presented.

Regards,
-David
