[Halld] Hall D in 2019

Dear colleagues,


In 2019 the accelerator ran in summer at low energy and because of that the fall run was short.

In total, Hall D has run for about 90 days in 2019, doing:

  *   First run of PRIMEX-eta (E12-10-011) -  53 calendar days or 30% of the PAC-allocated time
  *   Commissioning of the DIRC for GlueX-II (E12-12-002) - 38 calendar days or about 20 PAC days = 9% of PAC-allocated time

New detectors - the CompCal for PRIMEX and the DIRC for GlueX - have been successfully installed and commissioned.

The GlueX collaboration published the first PRL paper and one PRC paper. Two other PRC papers are at the final stage of editing.


The next run is scheduled for Jan, 10 - May, 6,  2020. It will be the first production run of GlueX-II.

Due to the planned CHL upgrade there will be no running from May 2020 till January 2021.
