Dear GlueX,
The solenoid magnet tripped this afternoon due to a hardware problem
apparently related to over-temperature in the power supply. There is an
ongoing investigation into how best to mitigate the problem, but we are
down for the rest of the night. In the morning we hope to get some help
from power supply experts.
In the meanwhile, shifts are cancelled starting now, until 8:00 tomorrow
morning, February 12. The worker who would normally come on at 4:00 can
just show up at 8:00 for the remaining half of the shift. If you have any
questions, please call the Run Coordinator (me) at 757-383-5542.
Richard (RC).
