Hello David,
The plan is turn off the power switches at the crates. As there won’t be anyone on call or onsite to regularly check, safety is also a concern. A previous message from Stuart emphasized saving on utilities for the foreseeable future, as well.
Best regards and be safe,
Fernando

Hi Fernando,
Regarding the DAQ crates and digitization electronics: Does this mean they will be in a state
that will allow them to be powered on remotely so software development can still be done from
offsite? I don’t have specific plans for needing this at the moment, but it’s possible a use case
will come up.
Regards,
-David

Hello everyone,
All the detector electronics will be turned off starting tomorrow morning. Nick will be on site in the morning to help with the shutdown. I will also be in in the morning so let me know if you need any assistance.
Best regards and be safe,
Fernando

Concerning the access to the site - I enclose a clarification from Rolf:

Only if absolutely needed people can come and pick up essential
stuff for them to do their work productively remotely. I would
say no users on site after tomorrow, and for staff in principle they
have this week but I would strongly encourage against it.
Around Friday the CANS system will not work for all but a few.

Stay healthy,
