[Halld] About the Hall D www pages

A few comments concerning the WWW-available info for Hall D, stored at JLab:

Historically, we have used two www servers (as far as I know):

1) https://www.jlab.org/Hall-D/     Jlab general server, data located at /site/www/html/Hall-D/, used for:

  *   Plain html and php pages
  *   Static links and some transient information on safety, runs, staff (maintained by me)
  *   Engineering and technical group information (maintained by Tim).

2) https://halldweb.jlab.org/           Hall D dedicated server, located at  /group/halld/www/, used for:

  *   the general access Wiki, the group access ("private") Wiki, and the operations Wiki
  *   DocDB
  *   Plots and photos: gluexweb: A different www address  is used https://gluexweb.jlab.org<https://gluexweb.jlab.org/>  while the data are at the same disk location

A couple of years ago the Lab started unification of the Lab's WWW pages. The new structure is based on drupal.  We were allowed to keep our Wiki pages, but not the top levels of the  html pages. The Lab service group converted the main page to drupal. It is available from the official JLab pages, or directly:

https://www.jlab.org/physics/hall-d

At this time I have no privilege to change this page. Recently  I asked to remove all the links to transient information from it. It has several other links, including a link to the Hall D wiki. In order to get access to the older Hall-D main page (which is still maintained) from the drupal page one may use the Wiki link. In the Wiki Main page there is a link to the Hall-D page (in bold letters). Or, use the explicit address: https://www.jlab.org/Hall-D
