The Department of Physics at William & Mary invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position with expertise in experimental hadronic physics to join the Nuclear and Hadronic Experimental Group and work on the GlueX experiment in Hall D at nearby Jefferson Lab. The successful applicant is expected to take a leadership role in the operation and analysis of data from the DIRC particle identification detector at GlueX as well as amplitude analysis of meson final states containing strange quarks. A Ph.D. in experimental nuclear or particle physics, or related field, is required at the time the appointment begins. Experience with both hardware and data analysis is desirable, with an emphasis on hadron spectroscopy utilizing amplitude analysis.
Applicants should apply online at https://jobs.wm.edu/postings/54378.
