Dear Colleagues,

Starting tomorrow morning, Tuesday March 21st at 9am, access to ifarm
will only be possible with two-factor authentication through
scilogin.jlab.org. This is your final warning. Please contact the
helpdesk (helpdesk at jlab.org) in case of any problems.

In addition, the scientific computing data base will be down between 9am
and 12pm, during which all <swif2> and <jcache> commands will not work.
Please plan accordingly.

The original announcement by Bryan Hess is attached below.

Best regards,
Alex

-------- Forwarded Message --------

Tomorrow, Tuesday March 21st, two user visible changes to the scientific
computing environment will be made as part of monthly scheduled maintenance.

  * The scientific computing database will be down for several hours for
upgrades and maintenance. During this time, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM,
attempts to access the tape library via jasmine, or to invoke swif
commands, will fail. Once the database work is done and all services
resumed, jasmine and swif commands will again function properly.
  * At 9:00am changes will be implemented to require access to ifarm and
qcdi machines through the scilogin.jlab.org two-factor login machines.

In addition to those visible changes, routine software updates will be
installed to keep pace with cybersecurity and patching.
