Dear GlueX and Hall D Collaborators,

I write to invite you to sign on to a Hall D proposal that I and others are preparing for this year's PAC. This is a resubmission of last year's C2-approved PR12-23-009, on to which many of you signed. The title is "Nuclear Charm Production and Short Range Correlations." You can find a link to our latest proposal draft here:

In this experiment, we plan to study, among several reactions, J/Psi production from protons bound in Helium-4. We are excited about this because we already see a clear J/Psi signal in the data from our 2021 Short-Range Correlations Experiment (E12-19-003), and with a longer run we'd be able to learn a lot more. However if you don't find charm physics charming, the data will be useful for studying several other nuclear structure topics, particularly in the area of short-range nucleon correlations.

If you find this interesting and worth pursuing, I would be grateful if you'd add your name to our proposal. You can opt-in here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdJMin7fIVkP4RSALKH3AmNQFmXiymS94s2I4Rw8bBoQS1VTA/viewform

We also welcome your feedback, which you can send to me and to Jackson Pybus (cc'ed). Please accept our humble apologies if we aren't able to address every comment we receive.

Thanks, and best regards,

Axel
