Dear colleagues,
A clarification on the safety requirements came out: even for plugging a LEMO cable one needs the ESC001 training:
As it is currently in the JTA: 9. Does the person in this position operate electrical equipment more than using a light switch, turning on/off appliances, or turning on/off common office equipment? (ESC001)
This is also specified in the "Physics Division Work Governance".
This training is done in online classes. The classes are scheduled at every 3 weeks or so, with up to 25 participants. If you think you will need this training plan accordingly.
A way to find the schedule and register for this class:
* On Hall D page click on "Training ESH page" on the left panel, or go directly to https://www.jlab.org/esh/eshhome<https://www.jlab.org/esh/eshhome>
* Click on "Electrical safety" at the left
* Click on a big gray button at the top right "ELECTRICAL SAFETY TRAINING CALENDAR"
*
Click on "Basic Electrical Safety for Electrical Workers (ESC001)
* Click on the top line "Course name: Basic Electircal Safety" - you will see the schedule
Eugene
