[Halld] RC Daily Summary - Sunday June 22nd

Dear Colleagues,

We continued taking production data for most of the time when beam was available, however there were two instances where the beam delivery was interrupted to make an access into the hall.

The first was to reset a controller on the vacuum turbo pump VTPAD00A in the tagger hall. This is the third time this has been needed to be manually reset this run period. My understanding is that we have spare VCUs and there is some plan to swap it out in the future (maybe during the next maintenance day?). Lubomir was also able to use this opportunity to make a rapid access into Hall D proper for GEM-TRD work.

The second instance was in the swing shift when the shift crew noticed a minor alarm related to the target water temperature rising. I put a summary of the issue in a logbook post (linked on my RC wiki page meeting notes below), but ultimately this led to ~45 minutes of BANU as Keith Blackburn made a rapid access to address it.

Despite the two interruptions, we collected 19.2 hours of ABU between yesterday's day and swing shifts and this morning's owl shift, as the beam stability and trip rate has been mostly excellent. We hope more of the same will continue for the next 24 hour period as we continue to collect production data.

You can find my notes from the past 24 hours of the experiment here: https://halldweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Run_Planning_Meeting_Notes,_June_19_-_June_25,_2025#Sunday_June_21

Best Regards,
Drew Smith (current RC)
